The review included the validation of a legacy drillhole database which led to the identification of important discrepancies, such as mismatches between the interpreted geological codes against the suite of assays received, under sampling in some key drillholes and import errors.Once these database issues were all addressed, the updated database was the basis for recompiled geological model by MGSC. MGSC specialises in projects with complex geology, large and fragmented datasets, historic mining, multiple phases of exploration which while adding to the knowledge and understanding of the project, has yet to yield a discovery. We are the experts in Ni and Au systems with additional expertise in Cu and Pb-Zn systems.
We reassess and reinvigorate historic mining projects by integrating established geological methods with modern technology. We start with rigorous data validation and verification, followed by manual geological modelling using detailed sections and drillhole coding. These models are then used to develop tailored targeting models and matrices that quantify geological features required for ore deposits to form.
Our approach generates actionable exploration strategies, focusing on practical, concise outputs that outline next steps and identify opportunities to advance the exploration project.
MGSC has extensive exploration and production experience in sulphide nickel systems, and solid experience in gold exploration and base metals. The systems and processes that MGSC has developed can work for many other commodities but are best suited for nickel, gold and base metals from narrow vein, stratibound or strataform mineralised systems.
